For more than a decade, Nayo Jones has established herself as one of New Orleans' premier vocalists, earning a reputation for captivating performances and the rare ability to make every audience feel personally connected to the music. Whether leading The Nayo Jones Experience or appearing as a featured guest with many of the city's most respected musicians, Jones creates performances that blend elegance, soul, and storytelling into unforgettable musical experiences.

Born in Chicago, Jones was mentored by her father, jazz musician and educator William "Doc" Jones. A classically trained flutist and graduate of Spelman College, she ultimately found her artistic home in New Orleans, where she has built one of the city's most respected careers as a vocalist.

Longtime collaborations with New Orleans icon Kermit Ruffins and the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra have helped define her career. Jones is the featured vocalist on the Orchestra's recording of Ruler of My Heart, from its tribute to legendary songwriter Allen Toussaint. She has opened for George Benson and Chris Botti, made guest appearances with Rick Braun and Richard Elliot, and performed at renowned festivals and distinguished venues throughout the United States and abroad.
